They are growing up!

So there is this basketball player named Jim Fredette. He plays for the BYU Cougars. Everybody calls him Jimmer, which was what his mom started calling him when he was little. Jimmer is very good at making baskets. There are many games that he has made 40+ points. It's pretty cool to watch the youtube videos on him. There are huge lines to get into basketball games and people travel from far away to come and watch him play. I have seen a lot of facebook updates about him. BYU fans have nothing but love for this guy. I worked as a special events hostess (professional ticket taker) for awhile in college. I worked at the basketball games and they were struggeling to get people to come to the games. Most of the people that came had free tickets. There were never very many people there. It was mostly old grandma and grandpas that came. The grandpas always made me miss my grandpa Shepley because they would wink at me as I took their ticket, or come over so I could take their ticket and then say something to their grandpa friends or wife or whoever they were with like "I got the pretty girl to take my ticket."

Anyway, the point to this story is that Josh came home from school and told me that BYU just couldn't lose. He talked some BYU basketball to me. I asked him how he knew that and he and his friends at school are talking sports! I never even thought about my kids coming home and talking sports. It is a sure sign that he is really growing up.

The other day the kids friends came over and Brad overheard them talking about kissing. Josh wasn't in the conversation, but Brad learned that Connor has not kissed a girl, Kaytlynn has not kissed a boy, Caden has kissed a girl, and Lola has not kissed a boy. When did they start talking about this? They are so growing up!

Little Miss Bossy

We were at Josh's basketball game (which that kid has a passion for--he loves basketball. He asked why his games couldn't last for 10 hours. He'll sit and shoot baskets outside for hours.) and Kaytlynn had her little friend there. They were talking and then Kaytlynn walked towards me with a scowl on her face. When she got closer she started crying, so I gave her a hug and asked her what was wrong and she said "Allie won't do what I tell her to do!" Oh, poor baby.

Because we love eachudders

Kaytlynn said she has a friend in school named Aneka. She said Aneka is not a doll and Aneka is alive. I asked why they were friends and Kaytlynn said "Umm, because we love eachudders."

Furniture in our room

Here is our new (somebodies old) furniture in our room. We really need to get something up on the walls! And on the armoire!

Cat

So I went up to somebodies door to get a signature on a certified letter when I was working at the post office the other day. I was chatting with the people and took a side step while still facing them, saying bye, and I stepped on their cat! It meowed but ran off just fine. I'm not sure if they noticed.....
